Where does one go to dance and meet people? I love all types of music, but it seems difficult nowadays.

Wow--the only places that play music where I live is the Eagles hall and taverns with occasional live bands. So-I do not go dancing anymore, unless it is at home.....

Me and my friends go dancing once in a while. Sometimes it's to the club with a DJ pumping out techno/ top 40 mixes. But sometimes it's a live band. We like both! But I'm in an artsy, young metropolitan area that has the audience for such things. I know not all cities have it available.

We don't go dancing so I have no idea. I think we would enjoy it if there were a good place to go around here. The closest place that even sounds fun is around 70 miles away.
