Does a post ever get too old to comment on?

Still relatively new here, finding our way around. Have run across some posts that were of interest to us, so we did a forum search and found more on the subject, some being almost a year old. My question is this, is a post ever too old to comment on? Members who have been here a while do you mind seeing it revisited or would you rather see an entirely new post?

Never. You're more than welcome to comment; I would probably hesitate to reply to someone directly on the thread unless you've seen them on the forum recently, but you're always more than welcome to leave a new comment on an old thread.

If you have a different twist to the same old song and dance, you're welcome to start a new post.

Welcome to EF, we're always glad to see new faces. If you ever need anything just give me a shout via email or private message (stormy@edenfantasys.c om).

There are some posts that I have commented on or voted on from years ago but if I have something I personally want to ask that is similar but a little different I just start a new thread.

Topical ones that are directly related to something going on *that* instant in time when they were created - those don't need to be commented on (like EF policies from 2009 that were changed ten times since the post was made).

I personally believe posts like that need to be locked, because I've seen people not pay attention to the date and comment "OMG TIHS EZ TEH BADS!!! AY NEVUR CUMMING HEAR AGIN!!!"
