Do your dogs dig? If so, how do you discourage them?

No dog we have ever had was a "digger". Our new puppy DIGS. Not sure how to discourage it. We say "NO" when we see him do it. He stops..for the moment, then goes back a few minutes later and is right at trying to get to Australia again.

Any suggestions?

Ours used to dig under the fence. Our vet suggested filling the holes with their poop and then covering it over with dirt, and that stopped them - from digging in that particular spot, anyhow They stopped digging when they got older, so with any luck it's just a phase

I haven't been here long but have been reading everyone's posts and thought I might get everyone's opinion. I am wanting to post on a site that everyone is on and knows about, a message to my ex. It is from my heart and he is very sick and will probably be gone soon. He is a fighter and has lived longer than what they have expected. Him and I met when we were probably about 12 yrs old and were bf/gf for a while. He ended up moving and I hadn't seen or heard from him in probably 20yrs. He popped back into my life about 12 yrs ago and we have been on and off again the whole time until about a yr. ago and I had to make a choice and it was one of the hardest I have had to do but I did what I thought was best at the time. It was a tough relationship but I loved him and still do but am glad I got out of that kind of relationship. Sorry I'll get to the point..I told him "Forever" and I meant it. I would like to remind him now and hope it helps. Not sure if I'm trying to make myself feel better, I hope not. Should I post it? In it, I was more personal to him.

Nope, my poodle never digs, and he doesn't like to kick up dirt neither...he hates getting dirty.
