If you change your behavior on the forums, do you worry about what other people will think? For example, I've been thinking about following some contributors who interest me, but I've previously said that I make it a point to not follow anyone. Now I'm stuck worrying about my previous statement not matching up with what I'm doing because I changed my mind.
Is this something I should even bother to worry about? Do you ever have this kind of dilemma thinking back over things you've previously said on the forums?
less
Oh who cares? Don't worry about that. I mean who cares if you've had a change of mind? It's not a big deal. I tend not to care much what people think because it's just not a huge thing to me, unless it's my family. However, I highly doubt your situation would cause others to think negatively of you.
I don't change how I feel or how I behave here just because of what others may think. My way of thinking is, if they happen to disagree with what I do/say then that's no big deal. That doesn't mean we can't still be friends or enjoy each other--usually. And if they happen to agree, nice. Usually though, people here are going to respect you and your opinions and still be fine with you.
It's not like making this simple change of mind makes you some kind of hypocrite. It's a minor thing.
No. I of all people do not think it's anything to worry about. And I tend to worry way too much about tiny things. Just have fun. If you want to follow people great! It'll only make people more friendly toward you, no matter what you felt previously. They'll just think you've decided to branch out more, open up and make some friends.
Now I may well feel one way about somethign and voice it and have my feelings change on it later. It's just what happens.
