So as the question says do you visit farmers markets. Why? What do you purchase there? How often do you go.

When I get to them really. Lol.

I go every few weeks, but I don't really buy much because the one near my house is quite expensive.

Fresh fruits and veggies! There's also a baker who has amazing croissants and pecan pie... I like supporting local farmers, and there's always interesting new things to try.

The local farmers markets here are only open during the "on season". Late spring, summer, early fall - when they're open I go several times a month. It's a real treat!

I love farmers markets! I think it is great to support local farmers, and everything is fresh, fresh, fresh!

I think they can be fun to spend the day with someone trying out new things. Some have so many different booths and things to try/sample. It's definitely something that is better to do when you don't have much of a plan for the day. It's a nice alternative to spending the day at the mall.

I visit them a few times a year.

I go to the local farmer's market about once a year, cheap and gigantic pumpkins are the reason.

Love them!

I love the farmers markets! I buy produce mostly but crafts too. Handmade soap

I'd like to say I go regularly, but I can't get my shit together in the mornings. Poor excuse for someone who preaches the benefits of organic food, I know.

Living in Minnesota, I only get to go to farmer's markets in the summer/fall. I got lucky that there is one that uses the liquor store parking lot near my home once a week, so I can walk to and from.

Downtown Seattle has the famous Pike Place Market where fish, meat, fresh flowers, farm raised vegetables, and crafts are sold. Many visitors from around the world visit there.

I live in a semi-rural area, so I go to them fairly frequently.

It's not really convenient from where I live, but they're great.

Hardly ever.

There is one on the other side of town, and it is nice, but always very crowded. As much as I love fresh produce, I don't always get to go.
I wouldn't mind growing my own someday. The climate here isn't suited to every vegetable, but cabbages, turnips and potatoes do very well here.

When I can, which can range from a few times to a few times a year.

There is on farmers market on campus most Wednesdays at my university so I tend to go at least 3 times a mouth. It small but its not the size of the market it the quality of the produce. They have this excellent organic sorbet cart three I try to eat from when ever I go. In fact think of it made me want to create a thread just about sobert link

If ours was open year-round with produce, we'd go every week. As it stands, when they do have fresh produce in the summer and early fall, we're there a couple times a week getting fresh squash, zucchini, beans, apples, tomatoes, etc. I made a zucchini and squash tian once from stuff I got there, and it was nothing short of amazing

Love the farmers market. Great produce!

I've gone a few times because I had friends who were helping run them, but I don't go to buy food...processed food only for me :/

I like grabbing lunch from gourmet food carts at farmers markets.

there's one on campus on saturdays. I've gone a few times, but the food's expensive and doesn't appeal to me.

I'm not obsessive about them but I do enjoy going to farmers markets occasionally.
