in general, do you use blacklight, lava lamp, strobe lights, colored bulbs, neon, candles, etc...to set the mood for sex? more so, years into a relationship, do you still use lighting to set the mood? i think i'm going to put some effort into this soon. a little bowie and some blacklights!..could be fun.
Do you use lighting to set the mood?

It's been quite a while since I used mood lighting, I should do it more often.

Yes I do, but not every time.

I have before but my it didn't seem to affect my husband any so I quit.
01/24/2013
yes, even later on in a relationship

I like to have soft lighting during sex. I don't want a bright overhead light - that feels like we're shooting a porno or something. I don't want no light, because that leads to fumbling and clumsiness, and I like to see my partner naked. So a bedside lamp is perfect... especially one where I don't have to get out of bed afterwards to turn it off.

I never really think about it. We have used candles for a little light at times, but it's just something we never think about.

when we plan our evening candles are usually involved. but most of the time now we dont. we did a lot at the beginning of the relationship.. but i think its because he felt like he had to try harder to impress me by setting the mood

I've tried it lately and it really helps set the mood.

I like soft lighting in the bedroom, it makes everything more intimate.

We have little middle-eastern lamps that we like to light sometimes with candles.

Yes low muted light sometimes with a scarf over it for color variance sometimes not. Not only that I spray some nice linen spray on the sheets, my rose petals and ready the room just as I were primping myself. Think about when serving a meal, you just don't throw food on the table, you enhance the place setting for each person.

We don't often, but we still do at times.
01/24/2013
no, but now i'm thinking about it
01/24/2013
Most times no but we will occasionally light some candles or use our dimmer bedside lamps for mood lighting when we're feeling more romantic.

Sometimes

I haven't before but maybe in the future.
01/24/2013
Yes, in the beginning and later on.
01/24/2013
We don't need anything fancy, because we always have a nightlight on.
01/24/2013
In the beginning we tried different lighting to see which one worked best for us. We figured out 2 candles (one on each side of the room), and the tv on works the best
01/24/2013
yeah.. sure.

One of our bedside lamps is very soft and it's wonderful for setting the mood. My favorite is firelight. I want our next house to have a fireplace in the bedroom!

No, we've never used special lighting and I don't have any plans to.
01/24/2013
sure do
01/24/2013
No, might be fun though...
01/24/2013
We do use lighting
01/24/2013
Not really.
