Do you use a GPS device (Garman/TomTom...etc) or do you use your phone for navigation?

I had an expensive Garman that I have quit using, since my phone is more accurate, and it's navigator is free. Problem is, it makes it very hard to use the phone while using the phone as a navigation aide.

How do you access GPS?

My car has a built in GPS, so I use that.

I have a TomTom, which I mostly use for finding my way back after trying to get myself lost in the Detroit Metro area.

I use my phone if I ever don't know the way. I'm pretty good with directions and rarely get lost.

we have a truckers Rand McNally GPS for hubby. we just got a Magellan GPS for me.

No GPS of any kind. I just look up directions beforehand, or go in the direction of where I'm going then ask people for directions if I'm lost.

No GPS. I look up where I'm going and pick 3 major roads that form a triangle around what I'm looking for. If I do manage to get lost, I'm not really lost - I'll eventually hit one of them!

I use my phone. I have the Garmin StreetPilot app on my iPhone.

We have a TomTom. We travel out of state frequently to pick up old bikes and it has saved our ass so may times!!!!

I also carry a United States Atlas in the car so I can reference it occasionally to see what is up ahead.
