I was born with a fear for public bathrooms. I will only go to them if I am about to leak. What about you?
Do you try to avoid public bathrooms?

i prefer single stall bathrooms, but when you have to go, you have to go.

I'm most comfortable at home, obviously, but if I have to use the bathroom, I can go almost anywhere. My exception is a port-a-john, unless it's a DIRE emergency.
Sorry, that emoticon is hard to resist, given the topic.
That said, my oldest daughter will not go in public restrooms. Especially alone. Even worse if they have an automatic flush.

I'll hold it until I really can't!

I don't mind them, really. I'm not scared of them. I just don't like how dirty they are and how someone always seems to have taken a dump right before I go in one. Lol.

I sit on the seats (well, unless they've got stuff on them).
I am a filthy heathen.
That said, I hate port-a-potties unless they have the antibacterial dispensers in them. Not being able to wash my hands just grosses me out. I'm not that filthy.

I dont mind them as long as they have toilet seat liners. but i hate port a pottys they are nasty.
12/27/2011
I don't go out of my way to avoid them, but I don't find it to be a happy occasion to be in one.
12/27/2011
They aren't my favorite, but now I have to drink so much water due to kidney problems that I don't have much of a choice but to use them. I just use a seat cover (or make one out of toilet paper) and try to be fast.

I am more comfortable at home so I only go in other bathrooms if I really have to go. I had a job that had really, really bad bathrooms (with mice sometimes in there too) and I would drive all the way home on my lunch break if I could not make it to my normal time home. I know that is odd but after that it never really bothered me if I went 12 hours without a pee. Not enough water intake I guess.
I do have to use public restrooms every other month at the hospital for drug testing for pain management (very bad back). I hate it but I don't have a choice.

I hate them. They're almost always dirty and gross.

I hate public restrooms and I do try to avoid them, but it is rarely possible. I get stuck on my college campus for most of the day since I commute in, so I have no choice on those days. Having to use them often because of this has made me more tolerant of them though. I do try to use ones that are frequented less, since they tend to be cleaner and all bathrooms are on a schedule where they get checked every so many hours.

Sometimes they are unavoidable, but I really hate them. Keep my butt 12 inches off the seat!!
12/27/2011
There are some I avoid, but generally I do what I have to do
12/27/2011
I don't hold back when I need to go. Because I know the person that belongs to the feet next to me isn't either!
12/27/2011
I will only go in one when I know there is not enough time for me to make it home.
12/27/2011
Really depends on the place. If its a mall or nice restaurant or somewhere that gets cleaned at least once a year, no problem. Especially being a guy, I can number 1 just about anywhere. But when it comes to 2's, you will e hard pressed to find a men's bathroom that doesn't have piss all over the toilet seat.
12/27/2011
I do go out and about very often besides grocery shopping, so if I'm at Wal-Mart or JCP and I have to go then I go.
12/27/2011
My best friend refuses to sit on public toilets and does the hovering thing. She says that she won't sit on them because they're always covered in pee, yet it seems like it's mostly the hoverers that end up leaving pee behind. I plop on down (unless there's something all over the seat) and I don't think I've left anything on the seat. I'm not as comfortable in port-a-potties, but I use those too if I have to.
12/27/2011
It really depends, but generally I try to wait until I'm somewhere more comfortable or familiar. The bathrooms at my school, for example, are consistently in excellent condition, so I don't mind using those regularly. But you'll have to sedate me to get me into an amusement park/water park bathroom.
12/27/2011
It doesn't matter to me. But if it looks groos. I will avoid it.
12/27/2011
I hate em, I'd rather find a tree lol.
I have the worst luck, everytime I walk into the Walmart bathroom there is always someone taking a huge crap and they are super loud. Its really gross

I am fine with them, since I have to use them all day long at work (airports), but I will not go poop unless it is a dire emergency (1 time in 5 years).
12/27/2011
I avoid them enless I really have 2 go.
12/27/2011
I will force myself to hold it till I get home. I can't bring myself to use once because every single public bathroom I walk in has pee all over the seats and/or looks like it hasn't been flushed on months. If its really clean maybe but that only happens once every few years
12/27/2011
I try to avoid them... but will use them if I absolutely have to.

It depends on the place for me. If I know the place usually has clean, pleasant smelling bathrooms, I will go. If I'm somewhere that usually has nasty bathrooms, I avoid them at all cost.
