You kinda can already. If you search "Hawaii" in the search box it will show you people that list Hawaii as their location

Edit. I tried it and It only brought up other forms about that state...

I would only like this idea if another option was giving to allow your location to be in a privacy setting where it can't be "searched" for. Otherwise I have already stumbled across a couple of people that live in the same town as me.

Only if those can opt out if they want. Really, I don't think it's a good idea. Most of the people on here are anonymous and don't want to share where they are from.

Do your search form the main page, any place other than the forums. Here (in the forum) it will only search the forum topics.


I think one of the best parts about EF is that folks can hide their identity if they want. Sure it could be nice but I am guessing a lot of folks would rather remain anonymous.

Personally I prefer to remain anonymous, knowing what state you are in is ok, but any closer than that is not something I would be interested in

Absolutely not!!! The main trust point with EF is your privacy. That includes where you live. If you want to meet up with the members in your area-post it on the forums and then others can either volunteer the info or not.
