Do you do a lot for your job "Off the clock"?

Yes, all the time, nearly everyday. I am kinda married to my job. I love my work and for me it isn't a burden to have it last past the normal 9 - 5.

Do they realize it?

Not the people under me, they think I do nothing and have told me so many times to my face. But my superiors do, they know that I come in early stay late and often times work through the night and weekend.

Do you get any credit for it?

Yes I do, through promotions/pay raises, and being introduced to people who if I play my cards right can help me further my career. Also being able to get off whenever I need without having to worry "will I get off" or making sure I give them enough time in advance that is a huge plus.

Do you do it, just because you are that kind of person?

I think that may be part of it, I strive in high stress, high pressure situations. I enjoy writing contracts and trudging through sometimes maddening negotiations, because in the end after countless hours, conference calls, booking flights, dealing with "VIP's", management companies, and all their crazy, not to mention logistic issues, nothing feels better that seeing everything come together in the end (Even if things don't go as planned because as they say "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong" and boy is that true.
