I had known about Conscious Box for awhile but tonight somehow I ended up on a website, subscriptionboxes.com, where it lists a whole bunch of similar companies. Basically the premise is they send you a box month a month full of goodies. Usually there is a theme, such as organic/eco-friendly, or beauty products. I LOVE getting things in the mail, and I think this would be even more fun, having it be a complete surprise. There is even an adult-oriented one called "Spicy Subscriptions"-I went ahead and subscribed to that one since it sounded so awesome and they were offering a great deal. It may not be kosher to mention that, but to me they are NO competition with Eden, just a neat little supplement. So I was wondering who else subscribes to a mystery box, and how do you like it?
Do you subscribe to any monthly "surprise boxes"?

I keep meaning to sign up for the Birch Box but I keep forgetting. I love the idea of monthly "surprises" like these!

No, but you know that one Birchbox? I thought about it once, for like 4 whole minutes before I realized that I would just have an even bigger stash of little packets of junk I never get around to using. I'm a sucker for sample packets of skincare though! I have tons of sample skincare stuff all over my bathroom and a Caboodle full of that kind of stuff. That is how I "anti-age" on the cheap! But seriously, I think it would be a waste for me to do something like that every month. I am so picky about products I use anyways that I don't know about it. Plus, what if I ended up loving a product and then when I ran out of the small size, desperately wanted to spend the crap load of $ to get more?! LOL.

No but it's a fun concept. I would like it if there was one for crocheters that sent out yarn every month.

Nope.

I subscribe to Julep Maven nail boxes, but I've been skipping quite a bit lately because I'm broke and they've been a bit disappointing in the past months. They're fantastic for the most part, though, and you can get your first box for free as well as one box for every two people you refer (speaking of whoring myself out, if you want a pair of free polishes and a beauty product, let me know )

These aren't a complete surprise, though - you see what you're going to get on the 20th of each month and have until the 24th to pick a different subscription (out of five options) or skip the month with no penalties.

That sounds really cool, I'd totally be interested in trying something like that if it didn't cost too much.
03/13/2013
I have never heard of this before.

Cat E.
Sounds interesting.
03/13/2013
Never heard about it, but it sounds cool. I just don't have the money to try it. Last thing I need is more stuff I want to buy!

I subscribe to Glam Bag now called ispy. It's a monthly beauty subscription and I like it. Sometimes you get full size products which is awesome. Only disappointing this is that since I signed up a few months ago, I have yet to receive any lip products which are my favorite.
03/13/2013
Don't get any and not really interested in any.
03/13/2013
Never heard of it, and am not interested in doing so.
