I went today to hopefully find a new, good quality and well fitting bra. Half the bras were 55 dollars to 40 dollars and I nearly lost it in the middle of the store. I knew it was expensive, but I was expecting more along the lines of 40 dollars for a great push up bra, but instead, I found that 60 dollars for one is pretty common throughout the store. Who can actually pay that? No other stores had great quality bras, though I do live in a relatively small town. Do you like Victoria's Secret and pay for their lingerie. If so, why? If not, why?
Do you shop/like Victoria's Secret?

I also live in a very small town. The nearest one is around 100 miles away. So, driving 200 miles to grab an overpriced bra.....hmm, Kmart, here I come!! Sorry, weird sense of humor. Actually the only place to physically buy a bra in my area really is Kmart. I get mine online.

I'm rather lucky in the fact that I live in a big city with several malls. But I will saddly report that most bra's nowadays that are "nice" are priced pretty close to VS bras. I went to Macys, Nordstroms and Dillards only to find that their bras are WAY more expensive, I mean they wanted $70 for a bra. I went to a really great store called Intimacy that gives the BEST bra fitting and nearly died when the bra I liked best was $250.
My suggestion is that if you can find an H&M they sell very nice bras at a great price, around $15.00 - $25.00 depending on what you want.

H&M is fantastic!

My tits are too big for VS.

I know VS is expensive but I really love it! The bras are really high quality. I always wait till I have a $10 dollar off coupon though
04/05/2012
I love VS bras, but they are crazy expensive, so I only buy them on clearance from the website.
04/05/2012
Aside from the outrageous prices, they don't offer larger sizes in most of their REALLY sexy and cute clothes, and I love the body butters and body sprays, but they're so pricey!
04/05/2012
I like their lingerie but it's usually way expensive. Luckily twice a year they hold a semiannual sale and I'm usually able to find some cute stuff at lowered prices.

Shopped there years ago for my lingerie and then realized there's better (much better!) for MUCH cheaper. Plus, I got tired of the way they degrade women to sell their products. NO thank you.

No VS stores around my area but I order VS online every now and then, but rarely bras (too expensive and they get crinkled in the mail). I practically live in their yoga pants though.
04/05/2012
I only go there when they send me coupons for free panties in the mail. I've bought a couple of bras from them that were lower priced and did not care for them much. They are the most uncomfortable ones I've ever worn, even though they fit properly. I can find better quality bras elsewhere.
04/05/2012
I don't shop at VS, but I do shop at Frederick's. I always wait for their 50% off clearance though, so the stuff I buy isn't too expensive. I just can't bring myself to spend $50 on a bra!
04/05/2012
I have only bought from them online for friends.

In my experiences VS bras have been the most comfortable and lasted longer than any other brand I've had. I'm top heavy, so a supportive bra is important. I also have a skin condition that can cause me to break out in hives when rubbed too much. So, high quality fabric that holds up to many washes without getting pulls or napping, is also really important.
So as far as I am concerned, it is worth the extra price. I do wait for stuff to go on clearance, though.

I love to flip through their clothing catalogs, but I'm not a fan of the bras or panties. Just too expensive.
But, I also don't need a bra that requires a flux capacitor to function. Just need to cover and lightly support the chicas. So I pick up mine at places like Marshalls and TjMaxx. I can usually find really nice bras for a very reasonable price.
Oh, and I like the bra's on EF! Good prices. I couldn't find my true size, 34A, but I picked up a 34B to see if it would be too big, and it really isn't. It's a good go-to when I just need a casual t-shirt bra or something.

I primarily go to VS because I can try things on. The bra issue always bedevils me, my friends say I am so easy to fit.....wrong! I am 34B and want to look as endowed as possible. Some VS bras look great on me and soem not much better then a Target store bra.
I also shop at Macy's but overall VS just offers more sexy looking lingerie overall.
As far as price; I just don't buy all that much but what I do buy usually looks and feels great to me anyway.
I do shop EF but I research prior reviews to figure out the size issues.

The prices are crazy, and the girls at JCPenney can get my bra size right, but VS somehow screws them up every time.

I'm SO picky about bras, so I just buy 2 VC bras a year instead of several cheaper ones. When I go to shop for my "Summer" bra I'm going to try Dillards this time, I'll let you know how that goes!
Whenever I go to Sears or JC Penny or Macys they always try and convince me that a 32D is SO the same as a 36 B. And then I say then WHY are there even different sizes if they're the same?! Ugh.

My wife really likes one brand of bra (Dream Angel) that fits her really well. So we stock up on new colors when they're on sale
04/05/2012
I love VS but they are super pricey, I usually only go for sales but I find their bras last much longer and fit awesome.
04/05/2012
I like some of the stuff VS sells like the panties and some of the Pink line's clothing/sleepwear. They don't carry my size in bras so that's pretty pointless but I don't shop there often anyway.
04/05/2012
I really liked shopping there in 2008. They had great quality items, but since then, the quality has gone down hill tremendously. Oh well. Means I save more money anyways. But I do still like their bras and Pink sweatpants.
04/05/2012
I shop there but i never play full price.I wait for sales.
04/05/2012
I don't like VS. I don't think their stuff is high quality, I think they charge WAY too much for it, and it doesn't usually fit my hourglass figure. I feel like their stuff is for a younger crowd with less curves.
I've found much better quality underwear for cheaper.

I never shop there. Their prices don't bother me, it's that they don't carry my size.

Right now, I prefer brands like Warcoal, Chantelle, Prima Donna for bras. Some of them are more expensive than Victoria's Secret, but way better made, and a lot more comfortable.
I recommend going to stores like Bloomingdales or Nordstrom to get a fitting. Their bra specialists are way more experienced. They will stay in fitting rooms, and help you try bras on. Tell you whether it's fitting well, and help you adjust straps. Go give it a try, see if you enjoy it. They won't give you any pressure to buy. If you don't like it, you don't have to buy. It's a great experience.
Warcoal (generally 45-65) is about the same price range as Victoria's Secret, they are way more comfortable especially if you have bigger cup sizes. If you don't like the colors they have in store, Warcoal's website have other colors available.

I go when there is a sale and I think I might need something, but overall its a bit pricey and doesn't hold up too well over time.
04/05/2012
It's a nice store, but they don't carry bras that fit me. I got a nice set of underwear there once, though.
04/05/2012
Not only are they over-priced, but they only sell the "small" end of bra sizing. Even if I could justify a $60 bra, last time I checked, they don't sell anything over a D (if you are lucky enough to find a D, C is considered "big" in the stores I have been anywhere near).
