I am not a fan of Walmart, either, but I live out in such a small town, it's hard to get some things any other way.

I too live in a small town, where options are limited. I do try to go to the other stores in the area. Wal*Mart isn't the only place in town that has great deals. Plus, the grocery stores that are around our Wal*Mart are within 1/4 mile of each other, and each has better deals on certain things. Plus better stuff. Depends on where you go.

Yes. I worked for the company twice. I walked out on them once then when I got tired of waitressing and quit it was hard to find another job and of course out of ALL the places I applied to, they called me back sooner and I stupidly went. I'm not there anymore due to a foot injury and after surgery I'm NOT going back. I finished my degree so I'm going that direction. I will NEVER work for them again. Their policies are ridiculous and they treat their employees like crap, even some of the ones that kiss ass to them. Worst company I have ever worked for.

BUT, they do have the best prices usually compared to other places around here and they price match so if something is cheaper at another store they will match their price and you don't have to waste gas driving all around town to 5 different stores. I will still buy from other places but mainly I go there even though I hate them. Sometimes I'm closer to another store or I just don't feel like going in there (like during the first week of the month!). Ever since Sam Walton died that place has gone to hell. It was SO much better working there when he was still alive. Stuff went downhill REAL quick.

Very rarely. I hate going there, it's too overwhelming and I can't ever find what I'm there to get. I usually have to go once a year or so because I need something I can't get at another store and I am always in a bad mood after I go.

Shopping at walmart literally makes me sick.

A really good friend of mine pretty much lost his life to walmart. All he does is work there full time, play video games and spend his money there.

It creates its own support system through its employees and has discouraged unions from forming--allowing them to get away with way too much bullshit.

SHOPPING AT WALMART is EVEN WORSE for the economy, and I hate how it's created walmart zombies. If I need something, I try and find a way to make it, borrow it or purchase it from a second hand shop.

If I had a family to support though, I must admit I'd likely be a walmart shopper

I used to when I lived in a small town without many options, but now that I'm in a large city I don't seem to wander by there ever.

I shop there for groceries a lot (with the exception of meat and most produce), although if another store has a sale on something I buy, I get the sale items at the other store.

Yes, even though I hate it. I shop there because I can use my coupons and my guy's employee discount. It's either shop Walmart or drive 45 minutes to the club stores.

All the time. It harps on my consience, but it is really the only affordable place in my city and I have a family to support. Actually, I'm about to go there now, because not only are the affordable, but they are the ONLY place open 24 hours and I prefer to grocery shop child free to avoid frivilous purchases and to make a faster trip.

I hate Wal Mart. That and Aldi are the bane of my existence. Husband insists on shopping at the latter and I just...ugh.
