Do you know how to decipher XLVI next to the Superbowl logo? I must be away from school for too long a time, I was dumbfounded by that batch of numerals and forgot how to convert them!
Do you remember your Roman Numerals?

I know how but have to think about some of the numbers sometimes. They don't come to me very easily.

They never taught us Roman Numerals in school, so I wouldn't be surprised if most people in my generation don't know them. My grandpa taught them to me when I was little though, and I still remember.

I am fairly familiar with roman numerals, while I cannot remember them all, just more of the basics. But I understand them, what they are etc. I have always liked them I am not sure why.

It took me a bit to think about it myself been awhile since i had to do them.

Getting old, scratch my head every time I see them, totally pisses me off!

I have no problems converting them.

I love roman numerals.
02/02/2012
I sort of know how to convert themm. heh

I never took the time to learn them - didn't see the point. I've never needed to know since leaving school so it's all good.
02/02/2012
I still know what they mean!

I took Latin for a few years, so i should know this, but I don't. I don't care though, because I can always Google it.

I have to decipher Roman numerals at my job on a daily basis, since I have to check the volume & title numbers on new periodicals before checking them in at the library.

And I took Latin for 6 years. I'm a pro.

Found you a wikiHow page that teaches Roman Numeral conversion - if you're interested to learn more about it.

That's true, we can always Google it. It just bugs me when I don't remember the 'when the lower value precedes a higher value, it gets subtracted rule'!

I haven't used Roman Numerals since MCMLXXXIV.
02/03/2012
I-X i got, after that i get a bit confuse.
02/03/2012
Forgot. I forget a lot of things.
02/03/2012
We were never taught how to convert them, or really much about them.
02/03/2012
I still remember how. I think they are interesting looking, although it takes me a bit to convert them because it's almost like you read them left to right and right to left at the same time!

lol wow, I completely forgot about that rule. No wonder I was getting some off numbers... There's one reason why the stupid language is considered dead. haha
