It really irks me when people comment with things like "I don't know what ___ is" or answer a question incorrectly ("I think the answer is A but I'm not sure, maybe someone else knows" when the answer is B and has already been posted) after a definition or response has already been posted! At best, they seem careless, and at worst they look like point hunters (posting "idk" in response to a question that has received several answers doesn't contribute much, come on).
In some cases I totally understand! A 40-page-long 'EF Should Carry' thread is a lot to read through, and duplicates might accidentally be suggested, but for threads less than a page long? I just don't know. So! How much are you willing to read before you post? Or do you post first and then read others' responses? Or do you not read other people's responses at all?
