Before I started Eden, my main hobby was a MMORPG called World of Warcraft. My boyfriend actually played with me, we sometimes could spend 20-30 hours a week on it. We leveled multiple characters together and raided together through a few expansion packs.
The contents of the game has became more and more easy and dull lately, we started to play the game less and less and eventually quit the game altogether. I still have my World of Warcraft account active, however I haven't spend anytime playing the game for more than a month now.
My question is how many people here heard of World of Warcraft? play World of Warcraft? or wish their partner would just stop playing World of Warcraft?

My husband plays a lot. He quit when he went to basic training for the Navy. He had about 3 months free of schooling, so he started playing up again. While I wish he would play less, I do not want him to stop. He deserves his own hobby. It is a stress reliever for him, and I totally respect that he needs his "me time". I only want him to play less so that he will spend more time with me.
He is starting his next stage of schooling for the Navy, so he will play a lot less for the next 6 months. However, I will also be seeing a lot less of him as well.

We've both heard it, and he is a huuuuuge gamer, but didn't like it. Neither did I. I would rather play other games, and so would he. But we do play a lot of similar games.

I used to play with my partner. I don't anymore. He still plays sometimes. He stops for months at a time and then picks it back up.

I used to play WoW a lot back in the day, but I was getting sick of all the content being added, too much to do basically. Also did not like paying $15 a month in the long run.

I used to play with a bunch of my friends, started because they all played and I moved about 2 hrs away from them. Made it easier to spend time with them in a way. Ended up being a hardcore raider before I quit because the content got too easy.

I used to date a guy who played, and he convinced me to try once. I agreed, and ended up losing 4 hours of my life before I even realized time had passed. Haven't played since.

I Was a hardcore player, but, most of my friends stopped playing, and then the game became boring and I quit. I was a Holy Pally back in TBC, and a holy pally/Bm hunter in Wrath.. Quit in Cata, was too horrible.. And now, with Mists of pandaria, it looks terriiible.

I play occasionally, when I feel like playing for a bit I pick up a card. My hubby plays not casually but not hardcore either( he used to) He plays a lot of different games, right now he's playing WoW and Team Fortress. I don't mind, he always makes time for me and the kids. Its something he enjoys so I wouldn't take that away from him. Now if he got the way he was when he played Everquest, I might have to put my foot down.

Lol, I was a holy priest too during wrath. Being a holy priest in ICC really killed my interest for the game. I kept going through for a long time, since I was leading the raid and guild. I felt bad quitting with another 25-30 people relying on me to have a raid.
When I finally quit, it felt like great weight off my shoulders. I couldn't be happier.

I agree the panda expansion looks terrible. Though I think it's going to attract a lot more younger, casual players for Blizzard. So I guess good for them!

I can not see spending the monthly fees when we are saving up for a house

Played it for a while, got bored and had no time...so moved on.

We used to play, but we stopped when we decided to save up money to get an apartment. Now we only rarely play on free servers or if Blizzard sends us the 7 days of free game time.

My girlfriend used to play casually. I never got into it because I couldn't get into the hype.

I played for no more than 5 minutes, died, and said, "FUCK THIS SHIT." when my cousin told me I had to go find my dead body.
