So, I got home sort of late tonight, and the first thing I did was made my bed. I find it yucky to go to bed with the sheets/comforter all sprawled out. I literally will go to the extreme and even make it minutes before I go to bed if I have to. Do you go to bed with it made or not?
Do you make your bed every day?

there is no point to making your bed. there are two basic reasons to clean, to make something usable (like dishes) or to keep something from reaching an unacceptable level of filth (brushing teeth, bathing etc). A bed function just as well if made or not, is not seen by prying eyes and after it is slept in, it does not become dirtier. aside from an accumulation of dirt, and assorted dander, that making the bed won't fix, once a bed is unmade, it's not getting any um-mader. why clean something day after day that serves no purpose and hits won't get any worse no matter how many times it's slept in (again, not counting the basic dirt that accumulates that can only be cleaned by washing the sheets).

I can't sleep with a sheet tucked under, so my bed naturally tends to be messy. *shrug* I will arrange things for comfort, but 'making' it is not something that happens.

I only make it when my boyfriend/Dom is coming over. I only do it because I get in trouble if I don't. I don't really care if it is made or not.

yeah if i'm not in a rush and at home

I almost never make my bed... pretty much only when I change the sheets or they fall off.
12/14/2011
I make my bed every morning without fail because it makes my room feel less chaotic, especially when it's otherwise kind of messy. I'm like Mr. WishyWashy though... if for some odd reason it's not made, then I need to remake it just to get into bed because I can't stand the sheets being all twisty.
12/14/2011
Yes, every morning before I leave the room, can't stand looking at a messy bed.
12/14/2011
I only ever make my bed when people come over or if I just washed any of my bedding.
12/14/2011
i just need my bed to be somewhat in order so i can be covered all night and not wake up cole in teh middle of the night
12/14/2011
I use to make my bed everyday, but now I just don't have the time in the morning.

Rarely, no one visits us. It pretty much only gets made if I know someone is stopping by.

On rare occasions I will make the bed, but this is very rare. My guy is the one who stays home and cleans house, so he is the one to make it. Of course if we've just washed bedding, it will be made, but usually on days that I work, he makes the bed. Weekends, its both of our days off! So it doesn't really get made.

The last time I made my bed was when we had a house appraisal.
I do really like when the sheets are all nice and not twisty, but my two cats are really active and will just make "nests" out of the blankets, anyway. Or just pull them off the bed completely when I'm not here (claw gets stuck, they freak out and pull the whole thing with them).

The closest I come to making our bed is flinging/shaking out the comforter so it's at least covering the bed again. Usually, we end up with the blanket diagonal or on the floor since we're violent/restless sleepers.
12/15/2011
I do, actually. While I dislike it, I do.

Ugh. Yes. I am one of those! Lol. I actually made it TWICE today *cringe*. I have a pillow top thingy on my mattress and I actually sleep on a day bed so it's always getting messed up. We use it to do more than we should. My partner and the 11 year old all sit on it like a couch for reading and when we're doing homework so it gets messed up quickly! The pillow top slides off when anybody sits at the bottom end so it's always a disaster.

No, I never make my bed except each weekend when I change the bed. I just don't see the point in making the bed neat if I'm just going to crawl in and mess it up again that evening.
PS.... But I don't mess my sheets up during the night - it's only the blankets on top that aren't perfectly flat each morning.

We rarely make the bed, unless the sheets have been changed, or it is really messed up. I do, however, like the looks of a made bed.

I think the only time we really make the bed is when we change the sheets. Otherwise we'll, or rather I'll, try to straighten out the sheets and blankets so they're all lined up. I'll straighten them out before bed so they're relatively even, but I don't do anything more extreme than that.
