I posted a poll about car ownership a couple of days ago, related to an article I'd read about the Millennial generation's attitude towards cars. The results weren't what I expected. The article claimed that Millennials are less likely to own, or want, cars. The poll results indicate otherwise for Millennials on EF.

The article also claimed Millennials are less likely to want to buy their own home. How about YOU? What's your living situation and are you buying, or renting?

24, live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and all of his random crap that he refuses to get rid of...they want to move us to a single but I don't see that working out well for anyone.

No shared home option? I've always lived in shared homes with lots of roomies, it usually ends up being cheaper than apartments and you get way more space! I "lived" in an apartment for a little over a month when I stayed with friends, I plan on living in a loft style apartment when we move soon which will be fun.

I don't plan on ever buying a home, being tied down to one place for years is really unappealing to me.

We are in our 50's now. Have owned our own house (moved a few times) since we were 27. Only apartment since that age was when we rented for six months while having a new home built.

We bought our first house when I was 35, was only married at 33 and did the apartment thing until then. We've since sold our first house, enjoyed a 2 bedroom condo for 5 years and again own another house having sold the condo. There are definite advantages to both condo and home owning but now that we've done both decided home ownership is what suits us best. Oh and now I'm 59.
