I love painted nails. Just not on me. I love seeing painted nails (or well-manicured nails and hands in general) on anyone. I've always been really attracted to hands, and nail polish is an easy way to call attention to them.
Do you like nail polish?

Since I work in a kitchen I am not allowed to wear nail polish, but I do so on my days off. Lately I'm really into checking out blog about it and seeing new colors and techniques. I'm really fond of new paper nails and learned that I could print my own designs and transfer them as well.
I don't have the money to get them done professionally, but I'd just adore the chance to get a mani/pedi. I'm probably well over due for one as well, the last manicure I got was when I went to prom 10 years ago. But this doesn't stop me from trying stuff at home, it's cheaper too. less

I love the color, the others are not quite my style, but that one really called to me from the pack. Of their other movies sets, I really liked the Alice in Wonderland colors, I still wear Absolutely Alice and get compliments on the color.

Nifty note about Just Spotted the Lizard, if you have painted your nails and it's well dried, look at your nails under water. Because the water fills in every tiny imperfection, they are super reflective and the douchrome effect is really amplified. To the point your nails look as shiny as the bottle does. I wonder if there's a clear top coat that would provide something close to that. I don't always use a top coat since I take my polish off within a day or two.

I love all sorts of nail-polish. It was one of the very few things not regulated by my school uniform when I was younger, and we've been in love ever since. Right now I'm wearing nothing on my fingers (no help for it, I work in a kitchen) but my toes have a goofy green color that changes to purple in the sunlight. Hooray sandal weather!

What brand do you use for that, I'm struggling to get it right and often find it dries on the water before I can dip. I've been told that cheap polish works best, but don't own a lot of since I cleared out my collection from the high school stash of "Look what I found at the dollar store" bottles.

Don't I know it! I wear rubber gloves all day at work and one day freaked out that my entire thumbnail that was painted had come off. I thought "Oh shit, someone in the hospital is going to find it and I am soooooo fired." I looked at the gloves I'd just taken off and there it was still in the thumb of the gloves.

I will say that I find a base coat helps, but nothing stays on like the glitter polish I owned every color of in the 90's did. I think they changes the formulas or something. I miss that stuff, it stayed on for weeks!

I like all the stuff I see that's new and fun, but I'm horrible at doing it myself.

I've tried the Sally Hanson ones and I think there was very minor scent to them, and boy did they stay put, 6 days later they'd not chipped, just grown out a bit.

Good luck! Remember to clean your nails with nail polish remover first to remove any oils and it's best to fold it around the end of the nail a bit and run the file under the nail to remove it. This allows the tip of the nail to be covered and helps avoid any early lifting. I really enjoyed when I had mine because they were no fuss once they were on. I will say I had some difficulty removing them, but they'd been on for 6 days so I was tickled that they were still there.

I love getting my nail done and painted. I think women's hand just look better. I haven't had the new glitter they're adding. Not sure how they do it, but I can't wait to get them done.

I try to use only nail polishes that aren't tested on animals, & LA Colors & Bon Bons seem to be the only cheap ones that are not!
I work retail & it's tough on my nails, so I usually have to repaint them every 4-6 days, no matter how many coats I use.

My toes are done right now, in China Glaze Rose among thorns (or something like that) with China Glaze Light my tiki as a top coat.
The Rose color dries matte since its one of their neon colors and I am not fond of matte colors so I added the light my tiki as a metallic shimmery top coat.
I can't keep nail polish on my fingernails, I am just too rough on my hands.
