I tried it once but I was sort of "meh" about it. It was alright, but it certainly wasn't as good (in my opinion) as rice or butterscotch pudding.

I did find this recipe though: bread pudding recipe

I've had some really good bread pudding before but I haven't had any in a really long time. Unfortunately I haven't tested any recipes myself yet to know of any really good ones.

It's ok. It's one of those things that has to be made really, really well to be enjoyable. Average or worse than that bread pudding is not worth eating.

Here is a fast easy one for you, in medium sized bowel put your milk and one egg in scramble them up,add in some sugar and vanilla tear up bread, especially good with older bread. put in microwave for only a minute or two. sprinkle with cinnamon. I am sorry I don't have an official recipe with amounts. My mom used to make it this way for us. When your bread is soaked and there is still some liquid left in the bowel this is a good mix. This is good as a snack. I hope this was helpful. Play with it and see if you like it.

I LOVE it- it does have to have enough sugar & cinnamon, though.

A restaurant we go to has it on their buffet. It is the only Bread Pudding I will eat, since they make it with REAL "vanilla bean" and a touch of cinnamon . It is DELICIOUS with a "creme englaise" (white, sweet, thick cream), often with AMARETTO or RUM in it). YUMMMMMMMY.

I love bread pudding! My one dislike is when there are what I consider to be too many raisins in it. I don't dislike raisins just want to be able to taste the bread pudding, too.

I don't have a recipe at hand, but I can say the bread itself makes a difference. You're supposed to use days-old bread according to most recipes, but that's because bread pudding was originally a way to not waste old bread. I ignore that advice and use fresh bread, baked immediately before making the bread pudding, and shredded while still warm.
