Well, for example I have a laptop for work, one for EF and general internet usage, and one for gaming...

Simply because I don't want to mess my work laptop up with any possible threats, and don't want to mess up my smoothly working EF laptop too with games... Oh and funnily my gaming laptop is the slowest, a true pain to use, but I don't need oh so fancy games (though nicer ones are a pleasure), I barely even play any games nowadays - so I want my main laptops to be fine... ^^

No, but that sounds awesome! I wish I had the money to afford that. We DO have multiple computers but some are broken or complete crap. I have one broken laptop, one that sucks really bad and is missing keys, a fancy, awesome laptop that just got fixed and is being mailed to me, and our actual computer which is even fancier and awesomer.

Yep. I have a desktop for normal computing, and a laptop for going to the library or other sorts of semi-mobile computing.

Ok... Releasing my inner geekdom.
I have one gaming PC
One PC used only for downloading (segregated from the main network)
One 17 inch laptop used for travel/entertainment
One 14 inch laptop used for school and work.
And one IPad which im using as we speak in the tub

We have 5 computers and they all pretty much get used for the same thing, minus the one that's used for recording various bands that play here.

Yes, the desktop for my heavy tasks such as gaming, trans coding media content, etc.

My laptop which has Linux so that I can learn about that and bring the computer from one place to another.

My old laptop which is use to stream media content from my desktop or internet to the TV.
