Inspired by this thread. Dreams sort of fascinate me.

I know my dream is going to take a downward turn when the colors change from bright and vibrant (or pastel and soft) to muted grays and browns. I almost never have a bad dream in vivid color.

Is there anything you've ever noticed about your bad dreams as opposed to your good ones? Colors, sounds, symbols, characters - anything like that?

A lot of my nightmares involve water or abandoned houses I've noticed.

My bad dreams are always more spread out and realistic feeling..opposed to my good dreams I remember that feel short.

When water becomes prevalent or my car gets smaller--I am in for a nightmare. I try to head them off, but then find I am a bit disconcerted for a day. If I let them continue, it seems to act as a release of sorts. Odd, but true.

My bad dreams all revolve around not being prepared for tests back in college.

Well I hardly ever remember my dreams at all but I have noticed my nightmares nearly always have my mother either dying, dead, far away from me, or seriously hurt...or they have spiders in them. Sometimes both actually.

I don't think I can remember any of my good dreams so I couldn't tell you if there's a common element to those.

My vivid dreams involve things like large snakes, which slither under the sheets and attack me. But, if it's not snakes, it's always something else trying to attack me. My poor wife, whom often gets struck with my legs while I attempt to kick them away.

Not many good dreams with me.
