Out of every nervous habit in the world, I have a rare one. Trichotillomania, is also known as hair pulling disorder. I used to be a lot worse as a kid (cause I was going through a lot at the time), now I just obsess on my chin area. This is something that has been around more than nail biting or lip biting combined. Now that I've shared mine, what are your nervous habits?
Do you have any nervous habits?

I used to have the exact same thing as a kid; I would pull my hair out constantly in school. I remember it clearly in kindergarten. My teacher called my mom and told her about it, and my mom's reaction was to yell at me every time she caught me doing it. I got so scared that I ended up hiding in the woods behind my house just so I could pull out my hair in peace! I believe I grew out of it in first grade. Now when I'm nervous I catch myself darting my eyes around a lot or practically chewing my lip off.

I'm glad that the hair-pulling condition is not as severe for you as it once was. It certainly isn't fun.

I run my fingers through my hair when I'm nervous.

I tend to chew on my lip as well (just the lower one usually), I've often overdone it to the point of making my lip bleed so I've been trying to use lip balm a lot to keep them from getting chapped enough for me to find a spot to bite.
I've noticed that if my lips are nice and smooth with no bits of chapped skin flaking up for my teeth to find I usually leave them be.
So there's at least two or three tubes of SPF 15 moisturizing lip balm floating around in my purse at any given time. xD
Sometimes when I get really nervous I also start sort of claw at my leg or arm without even realizing I am. My mother commented on it a few times so that's the only reason I even know about that one.

I touch my hair a lot. I pull on it, but I never pull it out on purpose.

Run my fingers through my hair, bite my nails, pick at my cuticles, or chew on my lip. Depends on what the situation is.

While at a recent con, one of my friends asked when I started putting my hands together (like praying) and tapping my fingertips together. I never noticed that I did it, but it seems to be a recent development since it was asked about. There's also playing with my hair around my face if it isn't put up, or rubbing my nose with the back of my hand.
