What is it, and why is it yours?
Do you have a signature scent?

I have three scents that are 'mine'. They're oil blends, rather than straight up commercial perfumes, though. My everyday scent is 'Sin' from BPAL, and my 'I'm so getting laid tonight' scent is 'Luperci' by them as well. I sometimes switch it up with a blend made by a company out at my local Renaissance Festival called 'Dark Eclipse'.
All three scents are darker, and a touch earthy. They match my Taurus personality, and my body chemistry makes them smell even better than they did in the bottle!

I've never found a perfume that smells really good on me and most scents fade pretty quickly because I don't like to bathe in the stuff (like some women do, and for the record---stop it. No one needs to smell you from across the room). I've been using some B&BW stuff that worked for about a day before I erupted in hives. My skin just can't handle it.

I mix my own perfume oil - nag champa, some amber, and both into a base of jojoba. Not quite hippie and not quite sophisticated, I rather think of it as Earth Goddess. Doesn't take much to put on and keep the scent, and it's not overpowering. I'll never forget when Master and I were at an antique shop and I mentioned that I made my own perfume; he leaned towards my neck, brushed my hair aside, sniffed, then kissed the nape of my neck ... the right perfume is quite a powerful potion ... !

Secret Wonderland by BBW; it fades quickly and just enhances my natural smell! My deodorant scent is Truth or Pear, no one else is allowed to use it! X3

My deodorant, I smell like vanilla chai.

I have a few different perfumes that I wear, and they all seem to last for differing lengths of time. My favorite is Fire and Ice. It's a spicy scent that I just love. I also wear Thinking of You by Mary Kay, and Black Raspberry and Vanilla from B&BW. The B&BQ one smells like Koolaid!

I very rarely wear any kind of perfume or scent. I figure if my clean smells like my shampoo/conditioner and deodorant aren't nice enough why bother trying to cover up with something else.
11/04/2011
I don't wear perfume, as basically everything I have ever worn in the past gives me a migraine. I prefer to be more natural...just a clean scent of my shampoo or lotion
11/04/2011
I wear a mix of chai, silver buttonwood and vanilla. It's not very girly, but it mixes well with the smell of human and smells nice and outdoorsy.

If you get to check "Yay, smelly stuff!" then I get to check "Boo, fragrance allergies!"
My signature scent is Right Guard Power Gel in the summer, and Nature's Gate Winter Clean Unscented Deodorant stick in the fall-winter-and-spring . All laced with the fresh scent of Tide Free on my clothes Though my hair smells like Dr. Bronner's Almond if you convince me to let it down.
I've always wished I could smell nice, but it comes at the cost of not being able to breathe clearly.
You've got me wondering if oils might work, though..?

I wish I smelled like cotton candy and ice cream all the time.
The only fragrance I wear is Daisy, by Marc Jacobs. I bought it thinking it smelled like bananas.

A tip for laundry soap though Antipova- mix 1/2 a bar grated laundry soap (fels naptha is what I use, but you can use irish spring or anything like that which doesn't make your allergies throw a fit) with 1 cup of super washing soda and 1 cup of borax. Then just use about two tablespoons per load of laundry. It's even low-suds, so it works with high-efficiency washers.
It lets you avoid the super strong scents, know what is going into your laundry, and it also saves a lot of $$$ on expensive allergen-approved detergents. I find that with the fels naptha, any 'laundry' scent fades from clothes within the first day.

I don't know about the possibility of allergies to perfume oils, but it may not hurt to try. When I make my perfume, I use a base of jojoba oil (which is very skin-safe, as it's a plant wax and is very similar to the oil produced by our own skin, so it absorbs easily) and add only a few drops of skin safe fragrance oil, although essential oil is better. For example, a quarter cup of jojoba to two or three drops of fragrance oil. You can store it in a corked bottle or screw-cap bottle in a cool, dry place. Place a drop on your inner arm and rub in, then check for any reactions.

I don't have one for me to wear, but I go absolutely crazy for Opium perfume.

I really like Dark Kiss from B&BW.

Yep! I like a very unique scent. Mine is Nollie. It mixes wonderfully with my skin! I'm extremely picky with my scents though. My partner had this "tradition". He's bought me a bottle of the perfume every single year weve been together. He started after we'd only been together for a year and 5 years later, 5 bottles later... Well here we are! Lol

Well, yes but no. I don't wear perfume with any regularity, but people tell me that I have a very distinct scent (and it's tasty, from what I hear).
A friend from high school caught up with me a few years later; when we embraced she said, "Oh, you still smell exactly like I remember! I'd missed that." I guess it's the combination of body products I use.

For years I didn't wear any scent because of migraines. I did, at one times use Dioressence, a high end perfume, from Dior. But, I started having migraines and realized something called Ambergris (the whale vomit they use to make the expensive scents last longer) was causing them. Also, when I started having children a scent this expensive was a luxury I could not afford.
During our "Grateful Dead Road Years" I did wear a combination of sandalwood and patchouli. How original.
Now, a few years ago, someone got me Bath and Body Works Midnight Path in a little gift set. It was the PERFECT scent for me. A little musk, a little floral, not too strong, AND it doesn't bother my migraine.
I love this stuff so hard!
People tell me they smell it and think of me. My friend's husband used to tease me because their baby would smell like Moonlight Path after I babysat for him.
I have noticed that my husband gets very horny when I am wearing this scent fresh. He must connect it to..... me!
I have about everything they make in this scent, parfume, body splash, au due toilette with sparkle in it, body butter, body cream, hand cream, lotion, room spray, candles, three different bath soaps, conditioner and shampoo and other things. I LOVE it!
It's so nice to be able to find something that smells nice, isn't strong and doesn't trigger a migraine.

Adidas Moves for women. I also love the men's version, and I'll wear that on occasion too, but clearly I love it even more on actual men

I usually smell like Marc Jacob's Daisy. I get compliments on it a lot.

Vanilla Musk was my signature scent for YEARS. Until last year when my then boyfriend made the comment that I smelled like an old lady.
I've since changed to either gardenia body spray, sweet pea, or cherry blossom.

I usually wear axe deodorant, Phoenix or Essence. I enjoy smelling like pretty boy. =3

When I was younger I wore Gucci Rush. Now I mostly wear Chanel Mademoiselle.

Like some other ladies here, I mix my own. I use a base of vodka with a drop of glycerin as a fixative. My perfume has a base of rosewood, middle note of bergamot, and grace notes of cinnamon and ylang ylang. Kind of woodsy, with a hint of spiciness. If there was an oil that smelled like leather, then my scent would probably be leather, rosewood, and cinnamon.
I also use sunflower for very fancy occasions.

Vanille -is- vanilla in French. :3

My scents smell like pomegranate and magnolia blossom, then I've got my shampoo smell (garnier frutics-I don't know how to spell it..) and then my "me" smell... I usually smell pretty fruity! heh.

No, I wear all sorts of different scents depending on my mood for the day.
When my husband and I were dating though, I always wore Calgon's In the Rain (we started dating when I was 17, it was what I could afford, haha, but I still love it!). They don't make it any more. I have one bottle that's almost empty that I wear every once in awhile...but he connects that scent to me still. When he was in boot camp I'd spray letters I wrote to him with it.
