Most serious injury I could probably get is Carpal Tunnel. My kids like to tell me I don't have a real job that does manual labor, I just sit at my desk and punch the keyboard all day
Do you have a dangerous job?

I used to, but now it's all safety for me

Does fearing falling over the mountain of toys, your children scattered daily count? I can't tell you how many times I have hurt myself or fallen and almost hit my head. Which would put my life in danger.
My husband runs a printing press. He is around fork lifter that move heavy amounts of paper. So he is at risk of having being pulled into the press or having an accident with the fork lifter. You might not think that there are many accidents with fork lifter's; however, they just had to have a huge safety meeting and learned that a large number of people die from this yearly.

Not really. I guess you could say since I'm always breaking down cardboard boxes and could slit my wrists at anytime. But I don't think that will happen.

Yes, working in the ER I have gotten hit, threatened, yelled at, knives pulled and even guns. Then I've gotten hit with pepper sprays from the police trying to control out of control patients ( they were under arrest.) You know the stupid thing... I actually like the work. I am an adrenaline junkie!!

I'm in customer service too, at least for the next year. This was homecoming weekend so we had loads of drunk college kids in and out all night. At one point someone got stabbed in our parking lot which lead to an all out brawl and several ambulances and police cars ended up being called. After everyone cleared out, the three of us working decided to take a smoke break and survey the damage. Broken beer bottles everywhere, visible blood where the guy was stabbed, medical supplies from the ambulances scattered everywhere, and at least half a dozen piles of vomit.

No thank god

I have to lift and carry fifty plus pounds on a daily basis. Not life-threatening, but if I pulled a muscle, there goes my job!

The only real danger in my job is if someone decides to rob me. It's never happened and I pray it never will.

I voted other because some aspects of my job could be dangerous. I drive to the store or take my client to medical appointments, and we could have car accidents. But otherwise not really in danger.
My hubby is a truck driver so he is in a dangerous job.

I work with those who are mildly to extremely unstable. I have been ok, but with this population I know many who have been attacked.

I don't work, but my husband is a limber man (logging). He has told me how dangerous it was, but because he always came home alright I assumed he was stretching the truth. That is until he actually ran a crane with me inside of the thing with him. Now I see how a tree could actually take my husbands head off.
I won't even wake him up for sex because I know that if he doesn't get enough sleep, he could fall asleep and I'll have the police at my door telling me my husband is dead. I really don't want to go through that.

not dangerous unless the owner dont pay the workers
10/08/2012
Not unless high school is dangerous (yes, debatable some days), but my husband does.

I put yes but it is more for my last job. I worked in a psychiatric hospital for 14 years, 8 of them on adult admissions. We were always at high risk!
My hubby works in law enforcement so it applies to him too.

Who me? I think the most dangerous part of my job is the repetitive motions I make all day long and the lack of back support at the moment. My husband has a dangerous job - he works with machinery and there's always a danger of being shocked, or getting fingers crushed by moving parts. Then there's the commute home. Now that we're ranked as one of the cities with the worst traffic, I sit on pins and needles until he walks through the door.
