It seems like a frivolous/luxury thing, but think about it... how many of us spend money on things that aren't nearly as good for us? I figure as hard as I work, I deserve a good massage once a week.. and not just my husband's 5-minute rub down either! So I am going to schedule one for my day off. Just wondering who gets massages on a regular basis?
Do you get regular massages?

I am very uncomfortable with someone I don't know rubbing me

I get them about twice a month. To me it's not a luxury thing, it's a taking care of my body thing just like doing yoga or working out. I really feel about 10 times better when I get them regularly and don't get sick as often and a lot fewer pains. I get deep bodywork done though, not the light relaxing stuff.
I'm a massage therapist for a living though, so I can usually find someone to trade with if money is tight and I can't pay for one

one had one massage, was good but having them on a regular bases seems too expensive for me

Not on a regular basis. Usually as a christmas or birthday gift...

I don't like strangers touching me.

I decided to get an acupressure massage at least once a month. My general health tends to be pretty bad, and after my last massage, I felt like complete garbage for a day, like I was getting over the flu. Then I felt better than I had in months. So... it may be a splurge, but I consider it vital to my health and wellbeing.

I've been thinking lately that I really need a massage from a professional. lol
04/28/2012
i've so been thinking about getting one!
04/28/2012
I wish I could go get a massage more often. They have those Massage Envy places where it's like membership for regular massages at a package price I think, kind of like a gym membership but to a massage place
04/28/2012
I have been wanting to have a professional massage for years, but haven't gotten there yet.
04/28/2012
I'm sure I would want one of them. I know my back is out of line. Maybe someday down the line I will
04/28/2012
If I ever had the free time and money for it, then I definitely would. But I do not see it happening in the near future unfortunately. Too stressed.

When I was in China I got a massage every other week. An hour massage over there costs about $10 in USD, so it's worth it.

I dont but i wish i could, maybe its time to train the hubby lol

I went to massage therapy school for a year, and had professional ones.
I love to massage, healing through my hands is amazing. But do I get them, not really anymore.. I will in July.

I get them a lot from my husband, but that is about it.

I don't and I might would for a one time thing, but would not want to do it regularly. I'm not sure I'd ever be comfortable with a stranger rubbin' me. LOL. I'm a big weirdo about things like that though, that's why I might would feel uncomfortable. I suppose it would be nice, but I probably wouldn't slow down long enough to actually ever do it. I like to go, go go, stay busy.

I've never had a professional massage before, but I have a gift card for Massage Envy waiting for me to have someone to watch the kiddo so I can go! I'm excited
04/28/2012
I would if I could afford it.
04/28/2012
No, I can't justify the expense right now. If I worked out a lot or had more back pain, then I would be more inclined to get regular massages.
04/28/2012
I wish I did. However, it's costly :o
04/28/2012
Just the massages that my wife and I give to one another - no 3rd party or professional massages.
