It's that time of year. I am just getting over a bad week long cold. I always seem to have a voracious appetite when I get one. Do you?

I think the saying goes "Feed a cold, starve a fever/flu" though it seems to vary as it transmits from person to person.

Most of the time when I'm sick I don't have much of an appetite. My wife always notices that I lose weight when I'm sick. The only time I eat a lot when sick is when I'm prescribed steroids like I was when I was sick a week ago. Even then it's not a ton.

Actually I usually can't eat much of anything if I'm really sick because a lot of things I like sort of make me sick to my stomach.

Luckily for me I don't get sick often, usually not more than once a year or so.

When I get a cold I get post nasal drip. My smell and taste go away and my tummy feels yuk. No appetite.
