Since I had a root canal at 14, despite pretty good dental care, I have been a tooth care fanatic. No more dental work for me. My dentist is amazed at how pretty my teeth are. Folks think they are veneers. Hubby say's I have a "Chiclets" smile!

The only time floss enters my mouth is at the dentist's office. I hate that stuff.

I floss in the am and before bed. After every meal would be crazy for an all-day-snacker like myself.

I eat small meals throughout the day & try to brush after each if practical. But I only floss at bedtime or if something is stuck between my teeth & bugging me. I do have a water flosser & use that at night & sometimes during the day because it's faster than regular flossing.

I have crazy sensitive gums, too! Have you tried using a Waterpik, (I have a cheapo generic version)? At it's lower settings, it's very gentle & not so traumatizing to the tissues as floss; on low, it's no different pressure wise than swishing water in your mouth. It has the added advantage of slowly toughening up your gums so they don't bleed as easily. Besides it gets between teeth with braces, etc. It was worked wonders for me.

I know I had that too but I did the floss and they don't bleed anymore! Also try a peroxide mouth rinse. It's good for the gums!
