When I get stressed I go for a run. I find it relaxing. Anybody else find this?
Do you find running a relaxing activity?

I agree. I find it really stress relieving.

I can't run because I have knee joint problems. I walk instead. I don't find exercising relaxing but sometimes it helps when I'm angry or going through something.

Nope :/ when I walk/run it just simply reminds me that I do it to lose the weight I hate so much.

I can't run because it'll make my stomach hurt, my stress relief strategy is to walk my dog.

I'm also unable to run because of the issues I have with my knees. I enjoy walking though.

i find it very relaxing to run

I can't run between my abnormally large breast bouncing, knee problems, hip problems, and the lack of time. I just can't do it.

I don't run because it hurts the boobs and knees but I do like walking and riding a bike.

I run whenever I feel trapped or angry.

It can be relaxing. It depends on the stress. Phyical stress no. However, when I need to shut my mind off running works

I run almost every morning, it is now part of my routine,I am a kick-boxer. It has made me stronger and I think my orgasms are now even more intense.

We walk. We dance and we have both done Karate for years. However, we never did understand running. If a bear or lion is not chasing me....I am NOT running!!!!

Interesting to hear you say this, for TWO reasons. First, we are both martial artists with over 40 years EACH in Karate....and having gone to "very" high levels of competition, in fact, at one time. However, we are NOT runners (well, not true...Mr. Bignuf ran for two years in High School, but then switched to swimming). Anyway, what we DO know about runners is that we have seen otherwise VERY healthy runners whose KNEES were degraded FAR beyond their age, who had FEET and ANKLE issues and worse of all, had obviously taken a lot of "up and down jarring" to their internal organs, such as the marathoner who could not get pregnant and was found to have basically detached most of the supportive structures of her uterus,so that it folded down on itself!!! OR the various runners who have bladder problems from bladder prolapse after prolonged running. Now, are all these things FROM the running? I am not sure, but there sure does seem to be a lot of "cause and effect" that I can see. Running on roads is a very jarring, hard , repetitive motion our bodies were not designed for doing over prolonged periods....but there we go, doing it. I think Biking or Swimming is FAR less damaging to the bones, tissues and indeed, the internal organs...but then again, that is just my silly idea. What do I know?

Well, if you can RUN, then you at least are not trapped!!! Also, I guess if there is SOMEONE you are angry with, running away from them isn't a bad idea either!

I have run as an act of stress relief. It definitely helps, but relaxing isn't how I'd label it. It redirects energy constructively.

I love running but I try not to and sprint and walk instead. Running is like yoga to me.
09/14/2012
Not into running, but we do bike a lot to burn off stress.

Count me in with the other large breasted, bad knee brigade. Prefer to walk.
09/14/2012
My knees are bad, my ankles hurt, but I love to run.
09/14/2012
not at all
09/14/2012
yes
09/14/2012
Heck no. Walking is nice, but running is awful for me.
09/14/2012
I walk occasionally if I need to clear my mind. Running... eh, I'm too lazy for that.
