Yes I do
Do you ever visit Museums?

I visit them very very rarely. Like I'd say 1 museum every 3-5 years. I'd like to go more, but my child can be a hooligan at times, and I had to be THAT disruptive person with a 3 yr old.

I do, it's just been awhile.

Yes, I like visiting museums on occasion. I usually will go if I'm on vacation, but I don't visit local ones as much.
04/11/2013
Nope.

I love museums. The last one I went to was the Salvador Dali museum in St Pete...the building itself could also be considered art!! Very pretty!

I very rarely visit museums when I'm not on vacation. I will occasionally take my niece to the local museum, though. When I go on vacation, I generally spend a bit of time checking out the various museums in any given area.

If I'm in a city and bored then I'll pop into a free museum to have a look around.

Most cities have "museum day". They are all open and free. You should set aside a Saturday and just go museum hopping. It's great fun with a friend or two.

Very rarely, unfortunately. I think I was little the last time I went to one.

As often as we can.
In Chicago we have myriad museums, The Field Museum of Natural History (actually better than the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History) The Museum of Science and Industry, The Academy of the Sciences Museum, The Museum of Oriental Art, The Art Institute etc.
In fact, our vacation this summer is planned around museums: we are going to DC to visit the many Smithsonian museums (with the exception of the Natural History Museum, as ours is actually more comprehensive) and the Post Office Museum, The Holocaust Museum and many others. I can't wait!

You might be surprised. Sometimes even tiny towns have a museum of this or that. We were traveling once, on a "road trip", and stumbled upon the Firehouse Museum in Ypsilanti Michigan, full of amazing firetrucks!!! We spent the entire day in there. Our daughter was simply fascinated by them (she was about six at the time). We all really enjoyed it.

Museum Day. Most cities have it. Museums all open and FREE. We always make sure we are off that day and hubby and I usually go with a couple of other friends and make a day of it. We start with a bagel breakfast and end up with a nice dinner downtown after taking in a dozen different museums!!! It's a great way to spend the day. Our city even does continuous shuttle buses around downtown on Museum Saturday, so you can park once and just hop on and off the little buses always going by.

I used to visit a lot of them when I was in an age group for whom it was free, but now I'd have to pay to enter. Hopefully I'll live long enough that I won't need to pay anymore some day!

Us too. A lot of people don't realize that local universities and colleges often have their own little museums, some of which have some amazing displays.

Us either. We were only in SF once, years ago, and only for about an hour. We drove Lombard Street and got ice cream and chocolate at Gheridelli's and then it was time to go!

I do every once in a while. I love to go see them, especially the glass museum in Tacoma! I usually find the days that the museums are free or really cheap and go those days!

Mine too. We used to travel and they would not just do the regular museums, but the "kids" hands on museums and science/tech museums for the family.

Sure do! I love museums!

I have to be honest, we avoid "Free Day" at the museums and the zoo like the plague. We have no problem paying for culture and learning. Also, during the Free Day ar our museums and zoos, it is SO crowded and so many people pushing, shouting, etc. that it is impossible to learn anything.

I like to take my time in museums, learning and reading the plaques. I can't do that if it is wall to wall people.
Usually joining a museum or zoo, becoming a member, will pay for itself in one visit. We belong to the museums and zoos we visit the most.

I have loved museums ever since I was a child! (Cleveland has 2 of the top ten museums in the country - art & natural history.)

Cleveland has the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, too! We went way way out of our way to see this museum one year. It was worth it all.

Not a lot around where I live, but when I travel I enjoy going to art museums and anything to do with animals. Love dinosaurs!

I have visited museums, went to Washington DC and saw a whole bunch, but I haven't been in a decade.
04/15/2013
Unfortunately, we don't have any really good museums near us. We have sort of mini-museums that show local history or wildlife (generally just one or two rooms in another building), but nothing large nearby. However, when we go traveling we go to museums all the time. For instance, when we go to DC, we hit every branch of the Smithsonian that we have time for. When we go to the midwest, we visit railway and American Indian museums. When we lived in PA, we went to battlefield museums and historical houses. Just not a whole lot of that going on where we currently live.
04/15/2013
of course!!! It's one of those things we try to do in every place we visit.
04/15/2013
Yes! I wish I had more time to do so.
