I recently read an article (link) regarding the benefits of cooking with herbs and spices. I have to admit it is only the last few years that I have incorporated herbs and various spices into my cooking. It has improved my dishes, they have more flavor and my kitchen does smell soooo good with them. I now have several herb plants, basil, thyme, rosemary, chives, oregano, etc. (It can be costly to buy fresh herbs! So much cheaper to grow them.) Do you use herbs and spices?
Do you cook with herbs and spices?

We certainly do, and we mostly use them to replace things like salt, because we definitely need to avoid sodium with as much as they already put in our foods!

Yes I do! Food wouldn't be food without it!

No, I am a really bland cook unfortunately. I'm just really bad at figuring out what spices would go well with what.

All the time! It's the only way to cook in my book

Yes, and with lots of it!

Yes, seems kind of bland without them!

Heck yes! I adore using herbs and spices-they make everything taste better when used properly.

I love using fresh herbs when cooking! You can get tubes of gelled herbs and such at the grocery store, but they aren't the same (the basil is really salty). I can't even use dried herbs anymore, they have zero flava.

Of course. I have tons of herbs and spices. I'm not very "creative" with them, but I use them. My food is flavorful.

Using herbs and spices are essential. It's what took my cooking from okay to good. And it smells so good in the kitchen when you're chopping as well.

Yes! I even have fresh herbs growing in little pots that can be moved in the house with the weather change. I agree...there are so many health benefits.

we always use herbs and spices. In the summer time, I use fresh herbs out of my garden. In the winter time I have to use dried herbs. I do not have space to grow all the herbs indoors. So we stick to dried when we cant grow them outdoors.
