My grandmother-y type neighbor said she fell in love at first sight and stayed with the same man till death parted them.

I believe in lust at first sight but not love.

In a way - but I would never have married someone based on that alone - I would (and did) vet my feelings through a reasonably long dating/engagement process.

I do...I fell in love with Sigel at first sight. It was like meeting him again. It took many years to complete the process but I did love him at first sight.

Yes--but also there is so much more to a relationship than that!! I loved my hubby at first sight, however there are many issues we have had to get through and deal with that makes that a minor point.

No, I think it's more lust or infatuation. Love is much too deep and personal to develop without truly knowing someone. I definitely believe you can have feelings for someone at first sight that then develops into love.
