41 since January, 2010 - more than I really think I should. Most all of my unasked questions are answered by using the 'search' option at the top of the page.

What I don't get are the two dozen posts a day that some people do - usually on subjects that already have a thread.

No kidding. It's pretty easy to start a bunch of threads when you don't take the time to see whether there is already a thread started on the subject.
