I had dance lessons at Arthur Murray when I was 10, and steel guitar lessons when I was about 8 or 9. Didn't keep up with the steel guitar lessons, but I am taking them again now.

Was in ballet for about a year before the Puberty Fairy hit me with a mallet. I actually don't miss it, as I enjoyed having secondary sexual characteristics more than fitting into a leotard.

I dabbled in gymnastics, ballet, tap, flute, and piano. I took swimming and diving lessons till an audiologist told me I could lose my hearing in my left ear if I continued. I blame my weight issues in part to that. I also took voice lessons in high school and college.

i still regret quitting ballet. piano was pretty boring but i can still play fur elise pretty well. violin i could never play, and guitar i can play a few tunes on.
i ended up writing and making a demo tape of 12 songs i'd written on guitar (in the same studio that produced the dixie chicks! thats my claim to fame) when i was 18. it never went much further than the demo though. cost of production was $3k and i didn't have it.

As a child I took Drama lesson (like I needed it, LOL!) from the age of seven or so until I was in High School.
When I was about 9 or 10 I was accepted into DePaul's Program for Musically Gifted Children. It was wonderful. But, my parents didn't want their entire Saturday taken up by it. (although they loved telling people I was accepted) I was shifted to a woman who played for the CSO, but really hated children. She made me feel like shit, and dissed my own music and ability to play by ear. I HATED it.
I quit when I was about 12 and didn't touch the piano for a year!
I taught myself to play guitar. Then I took up keyboards again. I don't have much time or desire to play much anymore. There's some tapes in our little recording studio in the basement with most of an album on them, but no one except my husband has heard it. It's pretty naive.
