I have a friend that everything is all about him and what he wants. Our friendship is very unbalanced, but we have been friends for over 10 years and I'm just fed up. I have tried to talk to him about it so I'm trying to figure out if I should just start gradually distancing myself.

Try talking to them, I have a friend like that. Just say what you need to say because that is very uncomfortable.

I'm a very honest person and people take me seriously, so usually telling them outright that there's something wrong works, and the friendship is balanced out.
