So, maybe this was the "worst" time to rediscover and become active again on the forums/site, but it seems that the activity has died down A LOT, and I suppose that's really more because of the holidays than anything else, right?

no, there was quite a huge change for many people prior to & following the new rules implemented in June. from what I understand about college students, right now, following finals, was a good time to participate on EF.
