We took dance lessons before our child's wedding. We had SO much fun, and it was SUCH a good...and easy to mentally do, workout, we are going to continue taking lessons and going to dances.

Has anyone else taken formal adult dance lessons?

Dance classes relevant to theatre. I enjoyed ballet and tap, but I'm awful at modern or jazz. My fingers instantly turn into little guns when I dance. It's ridiculous. I have more luck with movement that makes sense to me. I am not very graceful until you give me a weapon or a target. Kind of sad, but that's how my brain and body connect: purposeful movement. But I have a hard time seeing or understanding it in dance.

However, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate watching other people do it. I am fascinated with dancers, and regularly attend the ballet.
