Nope. I'm pretty confident that I'm in control of my own life, to the extent that we can reasonably expect to be as one person living closely amongst so many others.

I also don't believe in karma, though I do think most folks have a self-regulating system where they know whether they are doing things that are good or bad, and eventually they will bring themselves morally full circle whether they mean to or not. I don't think it's influenced by the cosmos, just our conscience... So in a way, I guess bad "karma" could be a self-inflicted curse.
