I read in the newspaper that some huge percentage of people have a wart, and I thought I would check for myself. And I'm not talking STD's! Regular warts that occur on the hand, eyelid, foot, face, arm, neck, etc.
Just out of curiosity... Who currently has a wart somewhere on their body? (Not STD)

I don't think I have a wart. My sis had them on her knees when she was younger, from something really random that had to do with us being dirty children from playing outside all the time...

I've never had one.

When I was a child I had one on my knee like MaryExy's sis. Haven't gotten one since I hit high school though.

I just got rid of a few that I had a couple months ago. Take care of them sooner than later is my advice!

I have had them on my hands on and off since I was 4, I usually get them burnt off but the one on my thumb right now isnt annoying me so I leave it.

I had a plantar wart a few years ago, but it went away on it's own.

I had them when i was a kid. Mom took me to the dermatologist to have them zapped and haven't seen them since

Not right now. I did have this one on my finger that kept cropping up. It's gone now though.

When I was younger I had a plantar wart on the bottom of one of my feet, and another wart on the side of one of my toes. A few home treatments later and they were gone. A year or so back I had one of the ones on the bottom of my feet come back. Same home remedy, still gone.

I do on my right pinky. I also think I am now getting one on the bottom of my left foot, too.

I do not, and have never had, a wart.

I had warts on my left hand until I had them burned off in elementary school.
After giving Dip his first bath, I had a plantar wart on my right thumb for a couple years...until I got bored one day and ripped it out. I guess it was just its time.

Bad, bad memories have been brought up by this post. I had a few plantar warts on my feet years ago and I guess they were too deep to be treated with over the counter products so I had to go to the dermatologist to get them burned off. Good god, did that hurt. I'll skip the gruesome details, just...don't get a wart- and if you do, take care of it sooner rather than later.

It's a virus that causes warts...anyone can get them regardless of their cleanliness if they come in contact with the virus and have a break in the skin. They are fairly common during childhood.

I used to get warts and skin tags under my arms burnt off every year, but I haven't done that in a long time, I need to pick up some of that freeze away stuff otc.

I had a few as a kid, none right now. I do have a horrible callus on the knuckle of my thumb though, and I haven't managed to get rid of it yet (even through two applications of wart remover and trying to keep it bandaged so I don't mess with it)

Two of my relatives have warts under their feet, luckily I have wartless feet!

I have never had a wart - in fact no one in my family ever has!

I've never had one either.

I have a wart on my finger. Never had one before. It has been there forever. I thought it was a callous for a while but it just won't go away. I don't how the hell to get it off, lol. I heard you can freeze them off somehow?

eww no

I've never had them, but my parents and siblings have all had at least one tiny one in their lives.

I seem prone to getting warts on my hands. Last time I had one removed the Dr said to me that the variety of warts I had were the kind that people get as kids and then grow out of. I guess since I am over 40 I will not be outgrowing them.

I heard the same about my younger sister. She is 16 and still hasn't stopped getting warts which apparenly means you're doomed according to our family doctor. I only got a few in my life.

Thankfully I don't, but when I was a kid I got one & had it froze off at a dr's office. It was painful, but not terrible. I had a tiny one come up on my finger once & picked at it for months & my twin told me if you picked all those specks "seeds" (ugh, I don't like calling them seeds, sounds gross to me lol) then it will eventually go away. It did! I've used OTC freezing for children too and it's helped, but never gotten rid of it completely. It's been years since I've had one & I hope I never get another!
