I've a three bedroom apartment, and one air conditioner in my "storage room" (it was the previous tenants kids room). I've never used it in the three years I've been here.

I just recently got my very first fan for this apartment and turn it on usually around dinner time for the night in the bedroom.

On the days where I am home for the day, I usually do pull the curtains on the side of the house where it will get the sun for most of the day to try to keep the heat out.

At night on those REALLY hot nights where it is just too hot to sleep, I take a damp towel and sleep under it and that is usually makes me cool enough to sleep. It's cheap and oh so very effective. Or I wet my shirt which seems to work a little better as then I don't worry about it falling off.

We use fan's and Ac's. Our apartment is an upper and has vaulted ceilings and is never cold.

We have central air conditioning. We had it running a few weeks ago, when the crazy temperature was in the upper 80's. If outdoor temperature is only around the 70's like today, we just keep our windows and blinds closed during the day, and the house will remain cool and comfortable; if the upstairs bedrooms get a little stuffy at night, we'll turn the tower fans on to cool the rooms before we sleep.

I just moved into my parents house and they have central air. However, it's not programmed to start running until 4:45 PM so during the day, I open the windows and use fans. I prefer fresh air to air conditioning anyways.

We have central air and it's been on and off for a few weeks. With the crazy weather, it's hard to tell, so it's been set on auto and we let it go.

The last week has been hot as hell, and with my partner living on the second floor of the building it's been so bad the last couple days. Last night we ended up sleeping with the window unit on high with both fans blowing. I also had the living room unit on for most of the day today as well. however the rain has cooled it down by a few degrees now.
At home we have central AC, and when we arnt using it all the doors and windows are open to enjoy the fresh air.

I have central air for the whole house and a ceiling fan in the kitchen and my bedroom. I have stared using it but I keep mine on auto shut off and while it is off I turn the fan on to keep cool.

We have central air, along with ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms. All of them have been on several times this past month, but we prefer to open windows and just use the fans whenever the humidity isn't too high.
