does the company you work for have a company picnic? Most I have worked for in the past have only had a christmas party. Never a picnic in the summertime. This is a first for me.

Do the companies you work for have parties, picnics, get togethers for the employees every year?

Yup, they have both a company picnic and a Christmas party. I've never gone to the picnic, but I go to the Christmas party every year.

It's like a semi-annual thing for us. The winter thing is formal and the summer thing is all about the kids. If it were up to me we would go the neither!

We have at least a Christmas party and a summertime party every year. The summer party is often a themed potluck and a chance for the corporate heads to give us a summary on the company, welcome new employees, share news, etc. The Christmas party is usually a fun gathering hosted at someone's house (which means great food and A LOT of alcohol!).

My current company has a summer picnic and a get together at the store for Christmas. The last two jobs had a picnic/summer retreat, Christmas, and a Halloween party. Great company, to bad they went under due to the economy.
