I know some people won't even say their real name let alone any pictures. How secure are you on the web?
How comfortable are you with your identity on the web?

Hmmm apparently no one is comfortable....

lol - I keep pretty much everything to myself - or anything identifiable to myself and only rarely share my real first name with people

I share certain things where/when I hope it will benefit me. I have pen names and have been completely anonymous before, but from the beginning at Eden, I was always my real first name here. I'm not sure why. Certain things still make me nervous like my face in videos. I can change my avatar at a whim, but you can't take videos back.
But it really depends on what site it is etc. I have become freaked out about facebook and similar sites recently because of all the stuff in the news about security on them. I deleted a lot of people, changed settings, info etc. My aunt recently got her identity/emails etc. hacked on facebook. I got an email and text saying she was mugged in London and had no money or way to get home. It was all a scam.
About a year ago I downsized my internet identity a lot. I went from like 10 or so active social network type sites/blogs/etc. to 2-3. I try not to give what isn't necessary when possible and to not be too specific with certain info.

I'm secure in certain places, dealing with certain topics. My identity here, fetlife, my blog, and related areas is only known to a few friends who are close enough to know that I'm interested in and write about such topics.

I'm kind of insignificant, nobody really cares much about what I do.
And most of my friends already know, so... no big here I guess. I don't just drop my name and number or something though.

Hah, I'm super secure. I probably wouldn't state my full name on here just in case people from real life would make connections to me and the people around me and make judgements on them that would possibly endanger their careers, but pictures, eh, whatever. I have a facebook too, so when I am on the web, I'm pretty out there. There's pictures of me drinking and smoking, which I don't really do anyway nowadays, but hey, if you're going to turn down a job to a doctor willing to work in a place of need for some drink, then there's something seriously wrong with your organization.
