I personally like thicker products like lip balms, lotions, and soaps. On the other hand, I know a lot of people prefer thinner products. This got me wondering if it has much to do with me living in a dry, harsh environment my entire life. Just a poll for fun!
Climate VS Product preference

In the winter when the air is drier I like to use light moisturizers, and in the summer I don't use any moisturizer on my body at all. I like heavier lip balms year round since my lips are very dry.

I use olive oil a lot in my beauty routines. If you like thick products, you might like using it. It can be put in your bath water (it works especially well if you take a bath at night and let the oil soak in while you sleep), and it can be misted on your skin before you put on lotion/cream to make your skin look hyper moisturized with out being greasy. Sounds crazy, I know, but don't knock it before you try it. It also makes your hair feel nice. Coat your hair in it, let it sit for about 15 mins, then shampoo like normal.

With relative humidity usually at 80% in Florida, I've never had to use moisturizers. The only time I've ever used them was when I lived in Montana (humidity at 15%); I learned to love Gold Bond Healing lotion.

Ooh, that sounds like it's worth a try! I never thought to apply it before a lotion!

I live in ARIZONA where it is dry and ugly. For years i lived in what i figure is the only place you can get sun poisoning and hypothermia at the same time(flagstaff). I tend to use different thicknesses depending on time of year and what kind of product it is. Lip balm is thick because it just wears off if it isnt. But i like thinner lotions because they absorb into the skin faster.

I live in MO, it changes often, and it really depends on what kind of makeup i wear.

I like thick lip balms and thin anything else, and it's somewhat dry here.

I live in an intermediate climate. Being in Pennsylvania, we get a little of everything... hot, cold, dry, wet, and everything in between. Depending on what the weather currently is is what decides whether I like a thicker product (fall or winter) or thinner (spring or summer).

It just depends on the day which can vary so much my weather is pretty much bipolar.

I live in Ohio, we have all four seasons here. It does seem to be changing. This year it only snowed a handful of times, usually we are loaded in snow. I hate the change in weather here. That really doesn't effect the cosmetics I like.

It really depends on my moods. There are so many bath and body products that I LOVE that have all different textures and consistencies. I think that theres a lot more that goes into my preferences than just thick/thin.

My make up, I like to be lighter. I wear the bare minerals make up/face wash products. My body items such as lotions, I prefer to be light....so I don't feel weighed down.
But I do appreciate a good thick balm on certain dryer areas of my body (heels/elbows/hands etc). Then again, too, it depends on my moods for that day
