I once had a friend and her parents would buy presents for a lot of their extended family. I thought that was ridiculous. Do you do that too?

Nope, but part of that is that I have too big of a family. At most, I'll get some small gifts

no way. I don't have the money. I get something for my parents. brother/his fiance. grand parents. (occasionally) my little 5 year old cousin (only cause we spend a lot of time together). and my boyfriend.

I used to pick the extended family up some cheap things I thought they might like but I never went overboard with it.
Our family used to draw names and we'd each have to buy a gift for one person with about a 40$ limit (started this about 7 years ago due to the recession).
But since we moved to MA we don't live near any family so it's just me and my mom...and the dog. ^_^
