Did his willingness to put politics aside make him a viable option in your eyes?
Chris Christy reached accross the "isle" to the President during storm Sandy. Do you think he has set himself up well for a Presidential run in 2016?

The scary part is the next campaign has begun, in a sense.

I like Chris Christie. He's moderate, he says what he thinks without censoring himself, he has a good sense of humor, and a lot of Republicans BEGGED him to run this time, but he said it wasn't in him right now. I don't think this particular "reaching across the aisle" is anything that different from what he's done in the past, and he's already had people hoping that by the next election he'll be ready and willing to run. He's been on the radar as a presidential hopeful for a long time now, since the Republican debates summer before last, when everyone realized what a sorry group of nut jobs and underwhelming candidates the Republicans had to choose from for the 2012 election.
The Republican party needs someone to make them seem more appealing to a wider range of people, otherwise they can just continue to fall apart and become largely unimportant. People were complaining that Romney was too moderate and that was the problem. Um, no. It's the other way around, I think.

That was the first thing out of my mouth as soon as I saw him on the tv during the storm. At first I thought it made him look really good but the more I think about it I can't decide. Now I really think he looks like a flip flopper.... I mean he was the key note speaker at the Rep. Convention. That would be like Clint Eastwood turning around on election night and saying oh by the way I'm voting for Obama. I respect that Christie has to do what he has to do for his state but there was still a lot of people in desperate need of help while he was singing praise for Obama. While the mayors of devastated cities and towns pleaded on tv for help.

2016 is going to be Hillary Clinton vs Jeb Bush, with Clinton winning in a landslide. I'd definitely prefer Chris Christy to Jeb Bush, no question.

Ehh, it's a sign that he can do that when needed, but his overall attitude is very partisan. Not sure how much it'll help

I significantly doubt either would run. the bush name hasn't recuperated enough for jeb and clinton is ready to retire.

Christy is not a subtle guy, but he's trying to play a subtle game. he tweeted the other day that even though he's of a different party than the president they're still working together because they're adults and that's what they do. or in other words, "the adult 2016!"

If you think Romney campaigned well... um actually now I'm not sure. How does criticisizing someone constantly and praising them at the last minute work out?

Actually, I'm hoping for Elizabeth Warren to run. I'm happy she made the senate. She is the first candidate (potential) that I generally like. I would volunteer to help this woman win, but I wouldn't for other candidates. And her senate record in the meantime can tell me more about her in case politics turns her evil.
