So this is a part two off the discussion post I just posted...I was wondering, which one do YOU think is the worst of all these?

It's lucky these kids have parents that and rich and famous, since they are going to have a hard time getting people to take then seriously with these names!

I've seen worse and I've seen better, but it's not my name or my kid so it doesn't really bother me. One of my favorite artists jacked up his kids names and they seem to be healthy and well-rounded human beings.

I was thinking the same thing LOL. I figure that all their wealth and fame will probably make up for the fact that a lot of these folks will need therapy or some sort of "help" making it through school. Being famous or from a famous parent would be hard enough with all the public eyes on them and what not. To name them things like this is just salt to the wound

I have no issues with these names. I, frankly, don't appreciate someone under minding parents rights to name their children as they wish. Just because they are not names that are common doesn't make them terrible names. I had many people who told me that Sylas was a horrible name and I shouldn't name my son that. Well, that is my son's name and it is a great name because that is what I wanted to name him. Chances are there aren't going to be many Sylas' in his class, which is what I wanted.

Hmm, but even though Sylas is uncommon, out doesn't have quite the shock value of Moxie Crimefighter. People may find your name choice uncommon, but it's not going to have the same amount of laughter and teasing as if you were to name your son some of these other names. I support parents' rights to choose their children's names, I am a mother myself, but that does not mean that I can't see how some children may suffer the consequences of these names.

I quite like unique names. However, Beyonce's baby Blue Ivy I find kinda funny. Once you start naming kids after colors, I start to question the methods. I do actually like a lot of the names on the list.

Indeed. It's a fact: children can and will be cruel over silly things, names being one of them. Unique names can be interesting and beautiful to an adult, but to children they might just be something to laugh at. I know if I'd grown up with a name like the ones listed here, I'd have hated it.

Incidentally, I have a nephew named Silas (I've never seen it spelled with a Y before, though). To me, this kind of name is a happy medium - uncommon enough to be memorable, yet still a familiar-sounding name.

The name Rocket is pretty bad...

Beyonce's and Jay-z baby name is Blue Ivy. I am made at them for that they could have came up with something else.
03/19/2012
I like different names honestly, if i have a son his name will be very different. My two daughters don't have "regular" names either but there is a line that is just weird.

Children are cruel no matter what. At some point and time you will be made fun of for one thing or another. Granted giving your child a name like Blanket isn't going to help that situation, but being made fun of over your name is no big deal.

My last name growing up was made fun of. Everyone called me Hokey Pokey. No big deal.

And I thought "Sue" was bad for a boy, or Kim, or Tracy, which I know personally, but some of these are just plain idiotic. Were they stoned when their kids were born?
03/19/2012
A few are okay like Maddox or Memphis. I like Sage and Moxie minus the second names attached to them....but the rest, no...just no. I want my child to have a name that isn't common but I'm not going all out strange. I have some ideas but they are names used, just not often and not something that would get my child/ren teased. I don't get some people's reasons for names. But it's just not celebrities that do it either, I hear some names that teenagers are giving there kids that make me give the WTF?! face.
03/20/2012
I think most of these celebs had to have lost a bet or something and had to accept horrible names for their children! Sadly, once those tots are past about 6 months old, they are STUCK with those names until they turn 18!
I do wonder though if those aren't their "real" names and it's just what they gave the press to shut them up. It would add a bit of privacy to the tot's lives at any rate...

Not my personal choice, but who am I to judge?

Moonblood?!
Someone named their kid after menstruation?!

Didn't Moon Unit Zappa change her name to simply Moon. And Keith Richard's daughter "Dandelion" changed her name to Jennifer. And, an other rock star's kid likewise changed her name to Jennifer, after being given an unusual name.
It doesn't bother me, personally. But, it appears to bother a lot of these kids enough to legally change their names when they are old enough to do so.

Watch Freakonomics... your name really can determine if you are on the higher rungs or lower rungs or society. I don't think it is coincidence.
03/20/2012
It's entirely irrational, but I the words "Memphis Eve" together just make me so angry - it sounds so pompous. Apply that to a kid and there is certainly trouble.
03/20/2012
Blue Ivy KILLS ME.
03/21/2012
I am all for unquie names but some of these are weird.
03/22/2012
A few of those are alright but ugh...'Jermajesty', 'Tu Morrow', and 'Pilot Inspektor'?
=_=;
Seeing names like that makes me even more glad my mother isn't famous, sure they're unique names but they're the sort of names that get a kid bullied in the high school I went to (and probably many others).
I sort of like Sage as a name but I don't really think the words moon and blood belong together in a persons name.

No offense, but I think this poll is extremely stupid. I think its really rude and offensive to start a poll to belittle celebrities and their kids names. That's ridiculous.
04/18/2012
Out of those? Jermajesty..
04/18/2012
I don't pay attention to what celebs name their kids we all have the right to name our kid whatever we want.
