I wasn't sure if video game discussions should go here or over in the books, movies ect forum.

Anyway, we just bought the game Catherine and I'm wondering if anyone else is playing it? So far we're loving the story and conceptual art but the game play is not what we were expecting. It's quite a pain in the ass. Haha I made a pun on accident.

I played the Japanese demo and thought it was pretty good. Most people didn't seem to notice that it was a puzzle game due to the advertising, but the main draw is the story anyway.

I read many articles in Japanese about how the game was waaaaaaaay too hard, so they adjusted the difficulty. It seems to have paid off considering the critical success Catherine is enjoying in the US right now.

I've heard of it, though it seemed a little weird, so I've held off on buying it just yet. I'm on a budget anyway, so I'd have had to wait!

Well we did play the demo, but I was we were hoping for a little more in the game play. It was really hard! But we finished the game last night with only 11 hours of game play. So that was disappointing. Loved the story though.
