Hey guys. My dad was recently diagnosed with laryngeal cancer and will be undergoing radiation treatment for six weeks. I'm wondering if anyone here has, or knows someone who did this kind of therapy for cancer? I've read all the side effects, but I'm looking for anyone who has a personal experience so I have a better idea of what we can expect.

It will weaken him very much. Use the prescribed lotion from day 1 even if he doesn't feel he needs it make sure he uses it. The skin will get irritated and burned. Keep applying prescribed lotion. Then it dries up and starts healing only after all the treatments are done.

I helped care for my Pawpaw when he went through his Chemo/Radiation Treatment. It was a rough road and there were good days and bad days, its a touchy subject for me but I do pray that everything with your dad goes smoothly and comes out on top!!!!

I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. My husband has family members that went through this and some are currently going through treatments.
