I had to confirm this with my mom! She's been to canada and had a boyfriend up there for a while. Why this never seemed mentionable, I'll never know...

i didn't know that but in elementary school we had milk in little bags you have to be careful but ours is a single serving not a whole gallon.

They're actually litre bags, not gallons. We also have milk cartons too, so not everyone in Canada buys bags.

I think it's cool. A friend of mine who's Canadian told me about this a while back.

I never gave it a thought actually and don't find it strange now that I know Here in Russia we also have milk in litre bags as well as in cartons. We don't have milk in gallons though.

Yes, I knew. I'd read it somewhere in a science magazine, of all places, but couldn't believe it until I asked a Canadian friend of mine.

lol, yes.

I live in Michigan, so we have a decent interaction with our Canadian neighbours.

I thought it was weird, but I really like the idea, especially if you can recycle the bags.

Yep. I have been to Canada and the lovely people I stayed with had milk in a bag. I thought it was hilarious.

from what i understand, it's possible to buy them in cartons, but the reason behind the bags is to save plastic. the bags use 75% less plastic.

That's so cool! Never knew it though, actually I've never even been out of New England. @_@
I'm a total klutz so I'd be worried I'd spill it or something but I love the idea of a bag of milk.
