The 86-year-old Duchess of Alba was spotted on a Mediterranean beach in a two piece a few days ago. It doesn't hurt that she also had a husband a quarter-century her junior on her arm — it helped pull off the look. However, it has raised an interesting question among the fashionistas of the world:

No. So often, we try to dress to appease people who don't know and who don't care about us. My grandma's in her 70's and she's pretty fierce. If she wanted to wear a bikini cause it made her happy, she should.

I don't worry about things that don't affect my life.

As long as it's covering all of the genitalia bits, ladies should be able to wear whatever they want in a beach! If she thinks she looks nice in her floral bikini, she should be able to wear it!

I don't think you can be "too old" for anything!!!! No matter how old you are you should do what makes you happy. Why would anyone care what someone else wears to the beach anyway, lol?????

I think at that age there's certainly more flattering swimwear that she could be wearing, but if she feels comfortable then by all means go ahead. She's living out her remaining years the way she wants to, and that has to be the most important thing.

A person's clothing is a freedom of choice--if they are comfortable being seen in the item--so be it. If others do not like it--look away.

The lady is 86 years old!!!! She has EARNED THE RIGHT to wear whatever pleases her--everyone should be so lucky.

Hell no, if a woman wants to wear a bikini her age, weight, height, skin color, ect shouldn't matter, it's none of my business what a person chose to wear and it's certainly NO ONE'S RIGHT to be rude or disrespectful to her for HER CHOICES.
